The denim on denim trend is a really popular look at the moment seen on many. I think it’s a style that suits everyone as there are endless of ways you could pair up – whether it is wearing the same tone of denim top to bottom or mixing them. Mixing dark with light denim creates a balance, as darker tones create a slimming effect, while lighter tones draws attention to the body. If you opt to wear the same tone of denim top to bottom, I would suggest adding another colour to balance the entire outfit, such as an overcoat or a simple t-shirt underneath a denim jacket or a chambray shirt. For my outfit, I went with a light chambray shirt paired with light washed skinny jeans, adding a beige top and matching espadrilles.
My cousin and I went to Luodong Forestry cultural gardens for the shoot. It has old style Japanese houses and a walkway of trees surrounding a big reservoir – perfect for portraying a casual mood to the denim on denim trend.
